The South Sudan Twic Mayardit Community of Arizona A non-profit organization based in Phoenix to respond to the needs of the South Sudanese-Americans in Arizona, SSTMCA was established in 2018. Arizona is home to a large population of South Sudanese and Sudanese refugees and immigrants. The population of South Sudanese in Arizona is nearly 4,000, most of whom are in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. South Sudan Twic Mayardit Community of Arizona has a center on 3524 W. Calavar Road in Phoenix. The center is a place where South Sudanese, Sudanese, and other immigrants congregated to share memories and celebrations of their cultures.

We Have the Power to Impact Our Future, and We’re Doing Something About It
The center also serves as a venue where activities such as birthdays and weddings can be held. The center offers tutoring, help with citizenship and job applications, interpreting and translation services, a venue for meetings, and a place to meet new friends. It is a place for those in need to meet with volunteers and mentors.
